Dear Parent ,
Thank you for completing the travel declaration for your child(ren). This has greatly helped us in our work with the Singapore authorities.
Travel declaration requests are in response to guidance regarding the Stay-Home Notice (SHN), which replaces the Leave of Absence. We would like to take this opportunity to emphasise the significance for a student of an SHN. Anyone on SHN must remain in their place of residence at all times during the 14-day period. They must avoid having visitors and keep a record of anyone they come into close contact with. It is a significant expectation and should not be under-estimated. Similarly, the consequences of non-compliance with SHN for both families and the College are serious, including families potentially being asked to leave the country.
The declaration is now required for ALL planned or previous travel of our students.
Currently an SHN only applies to travel to mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) between 3 February and 31 July 2020 and/or to Daegu and Cheongdo in South Korea from 12 February to 31 July. (Please note the addition of the cities in Korea since our last request.) However, the CPE has advised us to gather all planned travel information to allow for potential changes in the future. This means that you need to update your declaration.
All families must respond to this request for information, even if it is just to say that you have no travel plans for your children.
You can log in here or connect to the system via the temperature-taking link on the front page of the website. We are aware that plans are evolving. Please just complete the information as it is now, and you can return later and add or edit travel plans if necessary (we will be sending reminders). Please be sure to disclose any and all travel for your child(ren)
This is a rapidly evolving situation and is particularly challenging for our international community, which depends so much on international travel to stay connected to family and friends who are far away. With the situation worsening in many parts of the world, we are very grateful to be here in Singapore and fully support the authorities in their efforts to manage the situation. We thank you for your support of this critical work.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Bray, Head of UWCSEA Dover
