Dear Parents,

A number of parents have asked about the College’s response to the travel plans for our community over the coming break; others have asked about the plan for the Project Week and Primary School trips for Dover Campus, scheduled to go after the break.

While we are aware that the Ministry of Education is taking steps within its standard pandemic plan regarding gathering information on students travelling to China, the College has not been given any direction or guidance to do the same. We are conscious that our community is mobile and people will be travelling to multiple destinations through the holiday.

We remind all families to follow our Infectious Diseases Policy, which exists to help prevent and control the transmission of all infectious diseases within the school community. If you are travelling, please monitor your and your children’s health closely, take temperatures regularly, and do not return to school if you are unwell.

We are monitoring the evolving situation and will keep you updated on developments, most particularly with regard to upcoming trips.

For further information, please refer to yesterday’s more detailed communication with advisory links.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Bray, Head of UWCSEA Dover
Graham Silverthorne, Head of UWCSEA East
