Dear Parents,
A universal thank you and round of applause to students, staff and parents who helped to make today’s return to school safe and calm for everyone. Teachers quickly re-established routines with students, having age-appropriate conversations and emphasising personal hygiene.
We had a slightly smaller community than usual, with some students absent because of compulsory Leave of Absence and some remaining at home because of common illnesses. Again, thank you to parents for keeping students with temperatures or respiratory symptoms at home.
As mentioned in previous communications, we are asking parents to avoid unnecessary visits to campus. Please only come on to campus if you have not been to mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) in the last 14 days, and have not had visitors from Hubei Province. You need to wear your UWCSEA ID and show it to the guards as you walk, drive or cycle through security. This practice supports the screening process that our security team is conducting with all visitors.
Our health advisory site continues to be updated with FAQs and any new advisories from the Singapore government.
We are immensely proud of our students, staff and all our community members, who have pulled together so positively in this challenging time. Thank you all.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Bray, Head of UWCSEA Dover
Graham Silverthorne, Head of UWCSEA East
