Dear Parents,
We hope that your children have settled into the new term quickly and are excited about the remainder of the year ahead. We are very excited to be able to welcome parents back onto campus this year and we hope that this is the start of a further relaxing of restrictions in the months to come.
We have had some questions from parents regarding the details of parent visits and what parents may do when on campus. To address these questions we have prepared an FAQs document for your reference. Since we expect additional questions and scenarios to arise, we will continue to update the FAQs with the latest information. Before reading the FAQs in detail please take note of the following key information and criteria pertaining to parents coming onto campus.
When am I allowed onto campus?
After 3.30pm on weekdays and any time on the weekends.
What criteria do I need to meet in order to come onto campus?
- you must be a parent, guardian or carer of a current student at the College
- you must be vaccinated as reflected in your TraceTogether App or token
- you must wear your grey parent lanyard and ID card at all times on campus
- you must be well, not showing any signs of illness and not subject to any Stay at Home notice or Isolation Orders
- you must check-in using your TraceTogether Safe Entry App or Token
- you must adhere to all safe management measures currently required, including wearing a mask at all times, remaining in groups of five or less, and safe distancing.
We request that you read through the FAQs in detail and familiarise yourself with the requirements and different scenarios. As mentioned, we will continue to add to this document in response to any additional questions we receive.
Finally, some parents have asked about the ‘Declare Covid Self Test’ module in CIMS and what the requirement is. Please be aware that unless you receive an explicit request from the College to self-test and declare the result, neither you nor your child(ren) are required to submit an ART result.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this email in detail, we hope the FAQs answer many of the questions you have about coming onto campus. If you have additional questions or scenarios please reply to this email with your query so we can assist you and update the FAQs document.
We are very excited to see our parent community slowly returning to campus and we look forward to the day when we can be a full College community once again.
Have a lovely weekend ahead.
Sincerely,
Nick Alchin – Head of Campus East
Elizabeth Bray – Head of Campus Dover
